Ivana obtained her Master’s degree from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (UNIZG-FER) in 2012.
She started to develop and coordinate her own projects while she was still studying and has over the years worked for private companies, NGOs, volunteering organizations and public institutions. She was a part of cultural, educational and engineering projects such as Motovun Film Festival, World Festival of Animated Film – ANIMAFEST ZAGREB, International Festival of Developing Theatre – GANZ New Festival, 26th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation, 11th IFAC Conference on Control Applications in Marine Systems, Robotics, and Vehicles – CAMS 2018, etc.
Since 2015 she has been a Project Manager for scientific and research projects for the Laboratory for Underwater Systems and Technologies – LABUST and the Laboratory for Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems – LARICS at UNIZG-FER. Since then, she has successfully started, managed, or/and closed more than 30 projects from the field of robotics funded by EC Horizon 2020, Interreg, and FP7, NATO SfP, national, and ONR/-G programs.
She has been running the Organizing Committee of the International Interdisciplinary Field Workshop of Maritime Robotics and Applications Breaking the Surface – BTS for 11 years now. In 2019, she started the Aerial vehicles end-user workshop DroneDays with her colleagues from LARICS.
Recently, she and Prof. Stjepan Bogdan started to coordinate the H2020 project AeroTwin that will increase research excellence, strengthen links to aerial robotics research, industry and end-users community, and enhance networking capacity and scientific visibility of LARICS.
