A passionate bioeconomy enthusiast, Ivona has vast experience in management, both corporate and SME. She has been in the bioindustries since 2014 and is a general manager at Bio-Mi, the first R&D company, from Croatia, that manufactures certified bio-based, biodegradable and compostable thermoplastics in East and Southeast Europe. Ivona is currently in charge of 16 Bio-Mi’s Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects.
Being a pioneer in their business, apart from creating new, sustainable solutions, she believes awareness raising and educating on sustainability and possibilities that bioeconomy offers can really make a difference and change consumers’ habits for the better. Â
In her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring local gastronomy and traveling.
