Born and educated in Zagreb, Croatia, Maja has always had a passion for storytelling and creating meaningful content for television. After earning a degree in journalism, her media journey began at Croatian Television (HRT), where she has worked as a reporter, host, author, and executive editor. She has contributed across a range of editorial departments and special projects.
She has also showcased her talents behind the scenes as a screenwriter and director of documentaries (Slušaj kamen / Listen to the Stone, Auto za Afriku / A Car for Africa) and reality-doc series (Udomi me / Adopt Me, Divlja ZOOna / Wild ZOOne), as well as an editor of content produced by independent production companies.
Maja has a strong interest in innovative — especially multi-platform — projects that focus on engaging audiences in new and exciting ways, such as the original youth project Meeting_official.hr, the teen series SRAM, and the JUHUHU platform for children.
She currently serves as Head of HRT’s Kids and Youth Department, where her goal is to produce a greater volume of innovative content for HRT’s young audiences.
