Branko Baričević is Head of the European Commission Representation in Croatia. After 15 years of medical career in 1995 he joined the MFA. Until 1996 he was Head of the Department for Humanitarian Affairs and after that, he became Head of the State Protocol Department at the MFA. In 1998 he was appointed Deputy to the Ambassador at the Embassy of Croatia in Washington, USA.
From 2002 to 2005 he was Assistant Minister for Diplomatic Protocol, and then until 2012 Ambassador, Head of Mission of Croatia to the EC. From 2012 to 2013 he was Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia to the Republic of Cyprus during the Cyprus presidency of the Council of the European Union. In 2013 he was appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Portugal.
On 1 July 2013 Mr Baričević became Head of the EC Representation in Croatia.
