Ivan Štefanić is the founding and executive director of TERA TEHNOPOLIS Ltd., a member of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, a company specialized in technology transfer and business development, and Professor at Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek in the field of economics and entrepreneurship in agribusiness. Ivan obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. at the University of Osijek and Pd.D. at the University of Zagreb. He is tenured at the University of Osijek with considerable engagement as a visiting scientist at Universität für Bodenkultur, Wien; North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC and University of Reading, The UK.
Under Ivan’s direction, TERA has become very efficient and well-reputed ‘one-stop for technology-based entrepreneurs’ in the region. In 2017 and 2018 his program ‘Be the Role Model’ received an outstanding recognition, European Entrepreneurship Promotion Award, in 2017 – National winner in the category: Promoting the Entrepreneurial spirit and in 2018 – National winner in the category: Investing in Entrepreneurial skills.
