Justyna Petsch is an official of the European Union. She works for the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights which is hosted by the European Union Intellectual Property Office in Alicante, Spain. She is responsible for raising European citizens’ awareness of the value of intellectual property and the harm its infringements cause to the economy and society. She is a project lead of the major initiatives of the Observatory aiming at youth, blockchain technology and creative education. She previously worked for the European Commission in the unit responsible for the fight against counterfeiting and piracy, where the Observatory was set up and developed.
